On Campus, Multi-Million Dollar Ice Complex within walking distance of all dorms apartments. Niagara is one of only a handful of ACHA programs to have an on campus rink! Access to Dwyer Arena during the day and in between classes for informal captain skates.

 




In 2010, Dwyer Arena co-hosted the IIHF U20 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships

Coach Breczkowski is the second longest tenured coach in ACHA D1. He is entering his 15th season with the Purps

Three former Purple Eagles have been invited to pro camps (Mario Nucci, Rick Feroni, and Mike Novosad). Mike Novosad '07 (Montreal, Quebec) is now entering his sixth season of professional hockey.

Most players live together both on and off campus.

The vast majority of players receive financial aid from the University


Niagara University is located in the hot bed of hockey. Minutes from both Canada and Buffalo, Niagara hockey is a point of pride for the University.

The Niagara University ACHA Hockey team is a member of the Division 1 American Collegiate Hockey Association . The ACHA Division 1 is comprised of 58 teams spanning the entire nation. ACHA Hockey is quickly becoming the best options for highly skilled players from top Prep School or Junior organizations who are looking to continue their hockey careers and obtain a high quality education

Our national travel schedule, intense on and off ice work ethic, and dedication is what have made our program a top choice for recruits.

The Niagara University ACHA team has had three players offered pro contracts after graduation. Mario Nucci, Rick Feroni, and Mike Novosad have represented not only the University but the Purple Eagles hockey team admirably at the professional level.

Niagara plays its entire home schedule at Dwyer Arena located on the campus of Niagara University. Our dedicated locker room, state of the art facilities, and top notch scheduling makes Niagara hockey a great option for players looking to continue to play hockey in college.

The 2012-2013 Purple Eagles are poised to stake their claim as one of the countries elite programs.

In recent years the team has traveled to play Penn State University, Arizona State, University of
 Central Oklahoma, Liberty University, Eastern Michigan University, University of Rhode Island, Robert Morris (Chicago), to name a few

Niagara's league opponents hail from the NECHL.
