Eagles Soar In Classroom

The ACHA Purple Eagles are proud to announce their 2010 ECHL All Academic Team members.

Joe Baldinelli set the bar high with a 4.08 GPA! Dave Wesolowski obtained a 3.95 GPA and Dan Fitzgerald obtained a 3.80 to round out the three highest GPA’s on the team.

Dan Fitzgerald – 3.8

Shane Mueller- 3.71

Jeff Osler – 3.69

Joe Chiomastro 3.58

Nick Gollaher- 3.57

Congratulations to all seven (1 in every 4 players on the active roster) Purple Eagles for their hard work and efforts in earning this very prestigious league award!

It is of special note that these GPA's are cumlative. Seniors Jeff Osler and Nick Gollaher have been earning these high academic praises for their entire careers at Niagara!

The Niagara University ACHA hockey team has had a long tradition of academic success. Assistant Coach Brandon Wright obtained the highest GPA in the entire ACHA during his senior season. 

Several Purple Eagles have been nominated for ACHA Academic All Americans as well.
