2011 World Junior Tournament Schedule Announced

Dwyer Arena will welcome Russia, Norway, Sweden, and the Czech Republic during the 2011 IIHF U-20 World Junior TournamentIt has been an action packed week for the Niagara University ACHA hockey team both on and off the ice.
The good news continued yesterday as the International Ice Hockey Federation announced the 2011 World Junior Tournament schedule. As previously reported the 2011 World Juniors will be held in Buffalo, with games at HSBC arena and the home of the Purps, Dwyer Arena.
Highlighting the schedule is the fact that Russia will call Dwyer their home rink and play all of their preliminary games at Dwyer Arena.
The Russian U-20 team has produced a full cadre of NHL super stars. The Crezch Republic, Norway, and Sweden will also call Dwyer Arena home during the preliminary action of the 2011 tournament.
New Years Eve at Dwyer will feature the marquee match up of the “Dwyer” pool with Russia taking on the Czech Republic at 7:00pm.
Of the teams playing at Dwyer Arena, Sweden will be the only team to play at both Dwyer and HSBC Arena.
