Despite a deluge of undiscipline penalties and a highly effective power play by Slippery Rock, the Eagles won their sixth game in a row.
The hero would be senior Marc Deguilio who scored on a penalty shot in over time to seal the victory for Niagara.
Coach Brzeczkowski in spite of a victory was none to pleased following the game.
"We saw tonight that we have to keep our mental focus. Our leaders have to be leaders and the veterans have to play like veterans. We found a way to win, and we have preached that good teams find their way to win. It is just dissapointing an unacceptable, it is tht simple."
The Eagles will return to action for a weekend set at Dwyer Arena next Friday and Saturday
Niagara is now 6-2 on the season.
